This January, I’ve set off on my third round of Whole 30. I return to it every year because I enjoy the reset I get after the indulgence of the holidays. Getting back to basics with food feels amazing after eating all the cookies and drinking all the wine in December. Each year, my sweet friend goes along on the journey with me. We encourage each other, we talk ourselves off the ledge of quitting, but mostly we are each there for one another from start to finish. A few years ago, I noticed a holiday tradition popping up on Pinterest, the Christmas Eve box. I’d never heard of it before and thought it was such a sweet way to make Christmas Eve even more special. Most of the boxes included a new set of PJs for Christmas night, some hot cocoa, and a book to settle in with. Every year during the holiday season, I try really hard to knock out all of my gift shopping and wrapping as early as possible. Why do I drive myself nuts in October and November?
